TJU Volunteers Shine at Summer Davos 2025

From June 24 to 26, the 16th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the 2025 Summer Davos Forum, was held in Tianjin. A total of 119 student volunteers from Tianjin University participated in this high-profile event, contributing their energy and expertise across key service areas including transportation coordination, translation and reception, media support, conference logistics, and guided science and cultural tours.

As one of the universities with the largest and most diverse volunteer delegation, Tianjin University played a central role in volunteer preparation. Earlier in June, the university hosted the general training for over 1,200 volunteers from 12 institutions across the city. On June 21, the volunteer mobilization ceremony was held at the Peiyangyuan Campus.

During the forum, TJU volunteers demonstrated outstanding professionalism, language proficiency, intercultural communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. From guiding international guests at airports and venues to facilitating interviews, maintaining technical operations in press rooms, and coordinating bilateral meetings, the students showcased the dedication and capabilities of China’s younger generation.

The volunteer team was supported by faculty supervisors from various departments and schools. The university's coordinated mechanism for logistical support, training, and emergency response further ensured the team's smooth operation.

By turning their service into a learning experience, many students expressed how the forum deepened their global perspective and sense of civic responsibility. Through warm smiles, careful attention to detail, and practical action, they embodied the spirit of Chinese youth and contributed to fostering mutual understanding between China and the world.
